I had planned to return to blogging more regularly once 2016 began but did not anticipate just how busy I would be in my new role. Some of my readers may not be aware that I am now the new Education and Evangelism Pastor of Northside Baptist Church in Valdosta, Georgia. This loving congregation has welcomed my family to the community and we are truly blessed to join them in reaching the lost with the gospel of Jesus Christ. As I said, we’ve been busy with getting our family moved, kids enrolled in new schools, and the process of buying & selling houses. God has blessed us!
Though the many people I am blessed to know through social media are aware of this transition, I have neglected to inform my readers about this change. I supposed I have also neglected to mention that I graduated from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary’s Doctor of Education program in December. Commencement was December 11, 2015 and I was blessed to have my mother, youngest sister and her husband, and mother-in-law make the trip to Louisville to join me, my wife, and daughter for the service. There is a lot going on and I am excited to see how returning to the blogosphere goes. It is my sincere hope that the content visitors find here adds to the discussion of the various topics we address. If you’re in the Valdosta area, Northside Baptist Church is having Friend Day on Sunday, February 28th to kick off our 2016 Revival week and we would love for you to join us!
