When I surrendered to the call of God on my life to serve Him in vocational ministry, our family put our “yes” on the table. We didn’t fully understand all that would mean, but we committed to following wherever Jesus would lead us. Answering His call brought us to Northside seven years ago. Oh, what a remarkable seven years, it has been too!
During my time at Northside, I have learned the importance of so many aspects of ministry such as the need for flexibility in ministry and the importance of denominational service in Southern Baptist life. I have also seen Kingdom generosity impacting local communities and missionaries around the world modeled in ways great and small. Expressing my gratitude for the investment in the lives of each member of my family and in my ministry appropriately in a short post is simply not possible.
It is with some sadness that we announced my resignation as Administration Pastor of this wonderful church this evening. As Northside is the first church where I have served on staff, the transition to a new place of service will be another first for us. We will have more to share about this transition soon in the next few weeks as we are able.
Melisa, Joshua, Hannah, and I covet the prayers of God’s people as we enter a season of transition to a new place of service. It has been our blessing and our joy to serve King Jesus alongside the sweet congregation here and the amazing staff led by Pastor Robby. We are excited about the days ahead and are confident Northside Baptist Church will continue to be a lighthouse in South Georgia and beyond for the glory of God.
Oh no! Who am I going to talk to about cruising.
Call or text me anytime! Or, better yet, let us know your next cruise and maybe we can tag along. You know us, we are always up for a good cruise and even better company!
