Apparently Starbucks has altered their coffee cups for this Christmas season and I am supposed to be either a) really, REALLY upset about this or b) I am supposed to make silly statements that mock those who are really, REALLY upset by this.
Folks, it’s a coffee cup with overpriced coffee in it. That is all. Don’t like it? Just go find a local coffee shop (like Copper Coin in Woodstock GA) and get your java there. Corporate America is in the business of making money, not supporting any particular holiday. Trust me, if Starbucks thought adding a Christmas motif to their paper cups would increase sales by 35%, they would do so in a heartbeat.
Oh, by the way, if your response is to mock others for their view, bad form! Especially if you are in ANY sort of leadership role. Bad form! You are in that role because you’re supposed to know better.
